Ambrogio Sanelli founded the company in 1864 in Premana, a small Alpine village where iron has been worked for centuries. The company began by restoring an old water pipe to generate electricity and began manufacturing cutting tools – simple, reliable and essential tools. The company’s roots lie in water, iron and the countryside – a harsh environment that rewards creativity and dedication. Today, with the fifth generation, this passionate family business continues to grow. In 2015, the historic knife brand Montana was acquired to further achieve its main goal: to produce reliable and high-quality knives.
